Principles

  • Precision

Every standard Bremont watch is chronometer tested and is accompanied by a performance certificate issued by the ‘Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres’ (COSC) to show that the mechanical movement has passed all of the rigorous precision tests – a necessity of the chronometer designation.

  • Durability

In our workshops in Oxfordshire, England and in Biel-Bienne, Switzerland, all Bremont wristwatches, without exception, are heavily tested, adjusted and registered. Unlike the majority of mechanical watch brands, Bremont is also very proud to offer a three-year guarantee on all of its watches.

  • Aviation

Any well-designed and beautifully made mechanical device – whether it be a vintage aircraft, car or watch, should all theoretically work as well as they did the day they first came off the production line. The parallel between an eighty-year-old vintage aircraft and a vintage mechanical watch form a large part of Bremont’s DNA.

  • Mechanical

Bremont only manufactures mechanical automatic chronometer watches and every movement we produce, whether it is in a clear case back or not, is finished to the highest execution. Each movement is guaranteed to within -4 + 6 seconds per day. Bremont produces some of the finest quality watches in our price point.

The Mechanical Watch

Bremont prides itself on precise timekeeping. Only the highest quality components are used in our movements. Without fail, every watch in the standard collection bearing the Bremont name is chronometer-tested, and further subjected to a rigorous quality control programme. The only exceptions to this chronometer rule are some of the limited editions produced by Bremont. In these cases, the stringent testing programme laid down by the company is well inside the COSC parameters, and it goes without saying that the movements used contain chronometer specification parts.

Bremont

In our workshops in Oxfordshire, England and in Biel-Bienne, Switzerland, all Bremont wristwatches, without exception, are heavily tested, adjusted and registered, and the results are documented in detailed records that remain at our headquarters. Every standard Bremont watch is chronometer tested and is accompanied by a performance certificate issued by the ‘Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres’ (COSC) to show that the mechanical movement has passed all of the rigorous precision test – a necessity of the chronometer designation.

It’s not a widely known fact that watches are the most precise mechanical devices on this planet. When Bremont subjects its watches to a rigorous testing schedule (including chronometer certifications, which takes 15 days to complete over several different temperature ranges and watch positions), the average daily variation rate must be between -4 and +6 seconds. With 86,400 seconds in a single day, this gives Bremont’s watches an accuracy in the region of 99.998% – a percentage of which we are proud.
