It’s not a widely known fact that watches are the most precise mechanical
devices on this planet. When Bremont subjects its watches to a rigorous
testing schedule (including chronometer certification, which takes 15 days
to complete over several different temperature ranges and watch
positions), the average daily variation rate must be between –4 and +6
seconds. With 86,400 seconds in a single day, this gives Bremont’s
watches an accuracy in the region of 99.998% – a percentage of which
we are proud.
In our workshops in Biel-Bienne, Switzerland, all Bremont wristwatches,
without exception, are heavily tested, adjusted and registered, the
results documented in detailed records that remain at our headquarters.
Every Bremont watch is chronometer tested and is accompanied by
a performance certificate issued by the ‘Controle Officiel Suisse des
Chronometeres’ (COSC) to show that the mechanical movement has
passed all of the rigorous precision tests – a necessity of the
chronometer designation.
Every watch is assembled and then tested by hand in our workshop,
by our own watchmakers. |
