AMERICA'S CUP MATCH PRESENTED BY LOUIS VUITTON - DAY 5

Emirates Team New Zealand secured victory of the 35th America’s Cup today in Bermuda, beating ORACLE TEAM USA 7-1 in a convincing display. The Kiwis had dominated proceedings over the last two weekends and proved they had the superior boat on the Great Sound, Bermuda. Team New Zealand take home the oldest trophy in international sport and with it decide the future parameters and rules for the 36th America’s Cup, with Luna Rossa as their Challenger of Record.

AMERICA'S CUP MATCH PRESENTED BY LOUIS VUITTON - DAY 4

Emirates Team New Zealand took two victories on Day 4 of the America's Cup Match, putting them on Match point ahead of Monday's racing. Peter Burling and his crew were dominant in the start phase and controlled both races. ORACLE TEAM USA will be looking for a big performance on Monday to keep their hopes of a 'threepeat' alive. AMERICA'S CUP MATCH PRESENTED BY LOUIS VUITTON - DAY 3

On Race Day 3 of the America’s Cup Match presented by Louis Vuitton ORACLE TEAM USA finally showed some speed out on the Great Sound. In Race 5, ORACLE TEAM USA got an early penalty for crossing the start line early, forcing them to give ground to Emirates Team New Zealand. The Americans fought back around Mark 3 but after another penalty on the third leg the Kiwis stretched their legs and showed further dominance, taking victory by 2 mins 4 seconds. With a short break between races ORACLE TEAM USA regrouped and crossed the line first in Race 6, after a series of thrilling crosses and close racing with both teams holding the lead for extended periods ORACLE TEAM USA took their first victory - the score line is now Emirates Team New Zealand 4 - 1 ORACLE TEAM USA.

AMERICA'S CUP MATCH PRESENTED BY LOUIS VUITTON - WEEKEND 1

With four races of the America’s Cup Match presented by Louis Vuitton completed this weekend, the headlines were all about Emirates Team New Zealand and their skipper Peter Burling. Starting with a deficit of minus 1 the Kiwis were dominant in the start sequence and led from Mark 1 to the finish in all four matches, putting them 3-0 up after the opening weekend.

Having been criticised for his race starts in the lead up to the Match, Burling proved that his team were race ready, forcing Jimmy Spithill and ORACLE TEAM USA into a mistake in Race 1 and from there the American team were never able to respond. Conditions were perfect on the Great Sound in Bermuda for exciting and picture perfect racing with Emirates Team New Zealand proving to have the much faster boat.

After racing on Sunday, Spithill said that the American team would leave no stone untouched in the next 5 days as they continue their quest for the “three-peat”. Racing continues on Saturday 24 June and Sunday 25 June when Emirates Team New Zealand could secure the 35th America’s Cup and bring the oldest trophy in international sport back to New Zealand.

AMERICA'S CUP SUPERYACHT REGATTA

The beautiful and magnificent J Class, Lionheart, won the America’s Cup Superyacht Regatta on Thursday 15 June in Bermuda in front of a 20 strong fleet. Action, Bequia and Highland Fling 15 secured victory on the final day of racing in their respective classes. Bremont was delighted to award the winners of each class a limited edition Bremont America’s Cup AC I watch as the perfect memento of racing in Bermuda during the 35th America’s Cup.

LOUIS VUITTON AMERICA’S CUP PLAYOFF FINAL

Emirates Team New Zealand has won the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup Playoffs, securing them as the challengers of the 35th America’s Cup. The Kiwi team won the Playoff Final 5-3 after a thrilling battle with Artemis Racing of Sweden which saw incredibly close racing on the Great Sound. Peter Burling and his crew ultimately proved victorious sealing the win on Monday afternoon.

The team will spend the next four days training in Bermuda prior to the America’s Cup Match presented by Louis Vuitton starting on Saturday 17 June, when they will face ORACLE TEAM USA, who go into the series with a bonus point. Racing takes place on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 June, continuing the following weekend on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 June, with reserved days on Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 June should the racing be extremely close or in case of weather delays.

LOUIS VUITTON AMERICA’S CUP PLAYOFF SEMI-FINALS

The Louis Vuitton America’s Cup Playoff Semi-Finals finished on Friday 9 June as Sweden's Artemis Racing joined Emirates Team New Zealand in the Playoff final this weekend. After a very close contest the Swedish team beat SoftBank Team Japan 5-3 after clawing back a 1-3 deficit. Led by Nathan Outteridge, Artemis Racing have steadily improved since racing started a fortnight ago, showing smoother manoeuvres and team work.

Emirates Team New Zealand knocked Land Rover BAR out on Thursday after a dramatic week. On the first day of the semi-finals Ben Ainslie’s team suffered wing failure forcing them to abandon Race 1 and forfeit Race 2. Tuesday saw high winds which created some thrilling and nervous racing, with all the teams struggling. Emirates Team New Zealand fared the worst as they capsized at the start of Race 4 - thankfully everyone was safe in what was a worrying moment. After racing was cancelled on Wednesday, Thursday saw the Southern Hemisphere team seal victory over Brits 5-2.

Racing continues this weekend for the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup Playoff Final.

LOUIS VUITTON AMERICA’S CUP QUALIFIERS

ORACLE TEAM USA finish the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup Qualifiers top of the table ahead of Emirates Team New Zealand after winning both their races on Saturday afternoon in Bermuda. Victory in the Qualifiers gives the American team a bonus point for the America’s Cup Match presented by Louis Vuitton starting Saturday 17 June.

Over the last week, Emirates Team New Zealand has proved to be the most in form challenger with a clean sweep of victories against the four other challenger teams, only dropping points to ORACLE TEAM USA, putting them in strong position going into the next phase of the competition.

Land Rover BAR, Artemis Racing and SoftBank Team Japan all qualify alongside the Southern Hemisphere team for the knock out stages, with Groupama Team France failing to get through. The French team leave a hugely popular challenger with surprise wins against the Swedes and Brits.

As the strongest placed challenger, the Kiwis have decided to face Land Rover BAR in the semi-final of the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup Challenger Playoffs with SoftBank Team Japan and Artemis Racing racing in the opposite side of the draw. Racing was postponed on Sunday due to light wind but will continue on Monday 5 June as the four teams compete in a first to five point contest. The winners of the two semi-finals will then face each other this weekend, 10 and 11 June, for the honour of competing against defenders ORACLE TEAM USA in the Match a week later.

At the end of Round Robin 1 of the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup Qualifiers, ORACLE TEAM USA lead the standings with 4 victories, putting them on 5 points – including their bonus point from the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series (LVACWS).

The competition on the Great Sound has been spectacular over the opening weekend with tight racing and numerous lead changes. Emirates Team New Zealand with the pioneering cyclors lie in second after 4 victories, having only lost to the American team in a thrilling race on Day 1.

Land Rover BAR, with just the 1 victory and 2 points carried over from LVACWS, are in 3rd place having struggled to control their boat speed throughout the opening days of the event. In an unexpected race on Monday, Land Rover BAR suffered a loss to Groupama Team France, who took a very popular second win of the regatta by 53 seconds ahead of the British boat. Sweden’s Artemis Racing, SoftBank Team Japan and the French team are all tied on 2 points after a very close Round Robin 1. The first team is due to be knocked out on Saturday afternoon at the conclusion of Round Robin 2 which starts today with four races.

AMERICA'S CUP SUPERYACHT REGATTA

From the 13th to the 15th of June, Bermuda will further prove itself as the ideal sailing venue as the competition shifts from thrilling stadium style in-shore races to an iconic off-shore contest.

The America's Cup Superyacht Regatta will see over 20 boats, of over 24 metres LOA, including the iconic J Class boats, compete for victory in this stunning and memorable setting. Racing will take place to the northeast, east and south of Bermuda, starting and finish around the historic St. Georges Harbour.

The America’s Cup Superyacht Regatta Trophy is currently held by Adela who won the inaugural event in San Francisco in 2013. Bermuda provides a stunning location for this international event and will create the perfect backdrop for the event, which concludes just days before the start of the America’s Cup Match presented by Louis Vuitton when ORACLE TEAM USA defend the 35th America’s Cup and look for the 'three-peat'.
