DE HAVILLAND DH-88 COMET, GROSVENOR HOUSE

The de Havilland DH-88 Comet, Grosvenor House, is the aircraft that captured the world’s imagination with a phenomenal record-breaking flight in 1934. Fighting exhaustion and significant mechanical challenges, whilst barely stopping for over three days, two men in their pioneering British racing aircraft won the incredible air-race from England to Australia.

This remarkable aircraft will be flying at the air show this year, a spectacle not to miss! The Limited Edition Bremont DH-88 timepieces, made in celebration of this astonishing aircraft, will also be on display.

THE BREMONT HORSEMEN AEROBATIC DISPLAY TEAM

Bremont is delighted to announce that ‘The Bremont Horsemen’ WWII P-15 Mustang Aerobatic display team will be performing at Duxford this year. The Horsemen took off over a decade ago as the world’s only P-51 Mustang formation aerobatic team. Since that time, the team has grown into flying other platforms in formation, including F8F Bearcats, F4U Corsairs, and F-86 Sabres, the P-38 Lightning and most recently, Spitfires.

THE RED ARROWS

We are pleased to announce an exceptional appearance by the Red Arrows at Flying Legends airshow on Sunday 9th July at 13.20.

In commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the first RAF jet team which was formed in 1947 flying three de Havilland Vampires from RAF Odiham Fighter Wing, we are delighted that the Red Arrows have agreed to perform as a separate pre-show act. This is the only time this year that you will be able to see them display at IWM Duxford.
